The game takes place in the same world as the 1991 Super Nintendo Entertainment System title, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, taking place six generations following that game's events. It is the second retail game in the series released on the 3DS, after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

    I'm really liking this game, I've almost finished the storyline, but there's still lots of stuff to look around for. The dungeons are great, and the bosses fluctuate between engaging and disappointing, (I'm looking at you, Moldorm). ALso, bless those bottled fairies, I've really been needing them, the game can kill you now and then, certainly more than the ds games, and especially when you've just entered Lorule.

    While I really enjoyed Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, I found them slightly underwhelming for Zelda titles.
